My husband and I stumbled upon New Rivers and had an amazing date night!
The ambiance is cozy and romantic, service was very attentive and professional. we chose the fried squid as a starter and then had the scallops and trout followed by the best espresso martinis!
Wine list didn’t disappoint either. We will be back for sure
Fantastic local food with ingredients incorporated throughout the menu. Cocktails were creative takes on traditional combinations. The service was top notch and responsive to needs and accommodating. Try the sweet corn ice cream if they still have it.
Every penny was worth it. If I could give 6 stars, I would. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was very cozy and intimate, and the employees were the absolute sweetest and most helpful (I accidentally spilled water and 3 people came over immediately to help me clean it up). I would go again and again to try all of their seasonal menus.
We had the prix fix for Valentine's and everything was very good. The standout was the scallops and smoked beats. We will definitely be back.
Top 10 in Providence. The best ambiance of any restaurant in the city (sorry to all the Hill fiends). Amazing service, incredible bar program (some of the wine options will blow the mind of the most persnickety Oenophile), and a really thoughtful, creative menu.
This is one of the most important restaurants in Providence's foodie landscape. I can't recommend it enough.
Excellent cocktails (I had the plum infused gin one, honestly the best cocktail I ever had), food was amazing (generous portions as well). Staff was super friendly.
Kitchen closes at 9:30 and by 10pm the restaurant was empty, so ambiance wise this would be the only “downside” of this restaurant, but I think it’s a common thing in Providence.

Probably the best meal I've ever had in Providence. Quality and taste on par with top NYC restaurants. Everything was amazing but the standouts were the tomato toast and the RI oysters. Told waiter we don't drink alcohol and she was very attentive and made sure we found good drinks. Oh and the desserts were phenomenal. Get the lemon tart!
